Condition Update: Pebble Creek Golf Club

Pebble Creek Golf Club: 15th hole

The 15th hole is a medium-to- long par 3 straight-a way, with sand right and left of green.

The last time I posted on Pebble Creek Golf Club was back in October 0f 2011. While the course has remained in good condition, there have been a couple of changes.   On the positive side, Pebble Creek now has two sister courses, Wentworth Golf Club and Crescent Oaks Country Club (click the links to see my previous reviews).  Both are good courses, and you can pick up coupons at Pebble Creek for both.

The second change will affect those who like to practice before a round. They have replaced the full-service practice area with a line of netted cage spots (4 or 5) located in the members parking lot. There is still a small putting green by the clubhouse. OK for warming-up, but that’s about it.

While there, I was informed that they would start to aerify 0n Tuesday the 29th after Memorial Day. So if you can’t get out before then, wait a week or so and play toward the middle of June. With GPS on all carts and the good conditions, it’s worth the drive to this “must play” course.

Pebble Creek Golf Club is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Tampa.  Watch the newspaper as they often run specials with good afternoon rates. For more information
