Condition Update: Babe Zaharias Golf Course

Babe Zaharias: 17th hole

The 17th hole is a medium to long par 3. From the tips you must navigate tree on left near tee and water on right near green.

I played Babe Zaharias again.  Since I just played it a month ago, I wasn’t expecting much change from my last experience and there was no marked difference on the course conditions. Tees, fairways and sand were all good except for the odd trap or two that wasn’t raked, which can get annoying when your ball is lying in a unraked foot print. The greens also were in good condition but rolling extremely fast compared to my last visit. The biggest differences however, were the green fees and the pace of play.  The price went from $22 to $39 for a weekend morning, and the pace of play was extremely slow taking us just under five hours to get around the course.

Playing the “babe” is a nice challenge, but  if price and pace of play is a concern then check first at  For more information about the course and facilities, visit my previous post at Price and Convenience Make Babe Zaharias Golf Course “The Babe”
